Criminal Law & Procedure: Introduction
This research guide covers resources relating to criminal law and procedure located in the Thomas M. Cooley Law School Libraries. The guide does not cover state or federal rules of evidence or criminal trial preparation, nor does it review Cooley’s extensive collection of materials on international criminal law.
This research guide is intended to give researchers a starting point in the area of criminal law and procedure, particularly Michigan materials. It is also intended to highlight basic texts on criminal law that may be useful to law students in supplementing course materials. It is not intended to be an exhaustive guide to resources relating to criminal law and procedure.
The guide is organized according to the topics listed to the left, in the guide outline. In the sections of the guide focusing on print materials, the "location" provides the call number for a work. Clicking on the title takes a user to the relevant entry in the catalog. Where possible, guide sections about statutes link to the appropriate law.
Please contact us if you have any questions or need any further guidance. Being asked for reference help is no bother--it's why we're here.
