Education Law: Introduction

This research guide is a selective guide to aid the legal researcher in the area of education law. The field of education law includes subjects such as special education law, tenure, religious education, student rights, equal access to education, and others. This guide is not comprehensive in scope nor intended to include every educational law resource, but is a starting point for a researcher to find additional sources and relevant information. Researchers are encouraged to explore educational law subject headings further to locate additional materials in this topical area.

The guide is organized according to the topics listed to the left, in the guide outline. First, it covers general and Michigan resources before moving on to more specicialized or scholarly resources.

In the sections of the guide focusing on print materials, the "location" provides the call number for a work. Clicking on the title takes a user to the relevant entry in the catalog. Where possible, guide sections about statutes link to the appropriate law.

And please contact us if you have any questions or need further guidance.
