Florida Professionalism & Judicial Conduct: Introduction

This guide seeks to help the researcher understand how the legal profession in Florida is governed. To that end committees, boards, and commissions are mentioned as well as sources for rules and cases. The Florida Supreme Court is empowered by Florida Constitution to regulate the admission of persons to the practice of law and the discipline of those persons who are admitted to practice.

This guide is organized according to the topics on the left, in the guide outline.

In the sections of the guide focusing on print materials, the "location" provides the call number for a work. Clicking on the title takes a user to the relevant entry in the catalog. Where possible, guide sections about statutes link to the appropriate law.
