Preparing for Law School & the LSAT Exam: Introduction

Disclaimer: The Thomas M. Cooley Law School Library does not endorse any of the following titles. Rather, the list serves to show the scope of materials that are available at libraries throughout Michigan. Most titles listed were published in the past five years; however, some older titles have been included, because they appear to be particularly helpful.

If your public library does not own any of these titles, you may still be able to get borrow the item, if the library is part of the “MelCat” system. Ask at your local library for more details! You can also get more info about a title through MelCat’s website, at: http://elibrary.mel.org/search

The guide is organized according to the topics listed to the left, in the guide outline.

In the sections of the guide focusing on print materials, the "location" provides the call number for a work. Clicking on the title takes a user to the relevant entry in the catalog. Where possible, guide sections about statutes link to the appropriate law.

Please contact us if you have any questions or need any further guidance. Being asked for reference help is no bother--it's why we're here.
